Colorado | Travel Candle

Colorado is one of the most coveted destinations in the entire world. Known for its sprawling landscapes, its towering mountains, its lush forests, and its stunning diversity of flora and fauna, Colorado is a natural wonder full of exploration and discovery. The unique characteristics that make up the state of Colorado are the very same characteristics that make up the Colorado candle. Imagine yourself outside in nature, on a hike in the Rocky Mountains, observing a rippling river with a picturesque sunset behind you, and of course, within a grove of tall aspen and pine trees. This vision is brought home to you in the form of a wonderfully aromatic candle, featuring a heavy top layer of pine, eucalyptus, and mint. The middle layer of cypress seamlessly complements the base notes of tonka bean and smoke. The true natural beauty of Colorado is something that you can embrace all year round with a handcrafted candle that evokes all of the wonderful features of Colorado.

Some tips for safely enjoying and prolonging the life of your candles.

To prevent fire and injury: burn candles on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and within sight.
Container may become hot when burning.
Never burn near combustible materials.
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

Burning Instructions:

Remove all packaging before burning.
Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4" before lighting.
Keep wick centered and wax pool free of debris.
Burn one hour for every inch of your candle's diameter.
We recommend burning your candle for approximately 3-4 hours at a time, and do not burn for more than 4 consecutive hours without trimming the wick(s).
Before extinguishing, allow the liquid pool of wax to reach the edges of the vessel. This will help your candle burn evenly every time.
After blowing out your candle, if necessary, straighten and reposition the wick(s) for a steady even burn.
Stop burning when 1/2” unmelted wax remains.

Our wax is colorless, odorless and has a clean white color – all while allowing the best release of our perfumes.

What kind of wicks do you use?
SDB Candle Co. wicks are made of the finest cotton from the United States.

How do I get the best burn?
In order to get the best experience out of your candles, follow these simple steps. When first lighting the candle, please allow more than an hour of burn time to completely melt the top of the candle. A complete wax pool across the top of the candle will stop the candle from tunneling which can happen if the candle isn’t burned long enough on its first lighting. Trim the wicks. Wicks should be trimmed to be about 1/4”. If a wick is too long, it will have a darker flame and soot can accumulate. Do not burn the candle for more than 3-4 hours. After 3-4 hours, the wicks should be trimmed.

Keep the candle away from air vents, windows or drafts. Uneven air flow causes a candle to tunnel. If you notice the flame flickering, or it appears to be tunneling, move the candle to a place with less air movement.
